Vivien Goldman

The Parlour | Daytime & Evening

Critics once declared that there was no-one more punk than Vivien Goldman; decades later they’re yet to be proven wrong.

The wildly influential London-born writer, educator, broadcaster, songwriter and performer, earned the nickname ‘The Punk Professor’ when she took up a post at NYU’s Clive Davis Institute where she now serves as adjunct professor of punk and reggae. She is coming to Australia for the first time as part of FOJAM, to teach Melbourne a lesson.

Jews and the Counter-Culture: Keynote and Q&A

This is a rare opportunity to go deep and get taught by The Punk Professor herself, as she demonstrates the Jewish influence on counter–culture, drawing parallels from Dadaism through to contemporary punk.

There will be an audience Q&A following her keynote.
